Where can you get jets for the carb will ones for a atv carb work. Thanks

Use Keihin jets in the stock carb, it comes with 110 main jet.

www.Jetsrus.com is my favorite place to buy jets.

Jim,

i had to buy some K&N filter wrap for this mod to stop the mud and water effecting it. I look forward to reading your views on the power increase.

I have had time to take the buggy out and see what this new modification would do. The performance gain is very noticeable indeed.

I wish I had someone taking pictures because I had to back off the throttle to keep the front end from coming over on my favorite hill. On another I was air born when I crested the top.
Something it would not do before Fast Freddy's mod.

This mod has definitely added some low end torque. I advanced the timing 3 degree's, I also need to go smaller with the jets as I am running rich at my elevation. If I give it full throttle it will bog down, I have to back off the throttle and it takes off.

So there is still more power there with a little tuning of the Weber carb.

Needless to say I am very happy with my new found power.

The new exhaust is slightly louder that the stock but has a deeper throatier sound.

Hi Mike

Here is the part #'s for the filter as well as the precharger.

K&N air filter = E3321

set mine about the same, the distributor will only allow 8 degrees on mine at the stop. As this seems to work well enough there i left it at that. The acid test is to start it hot. If it kicks back or makes a pinking noise it is too advanced. Mine is OK on 95 RON gas at this.

You can feel if it is right as it revs much better with the advanced ignition.

Hi Mike]

I am not sure why you can only go 8 degrees. See the picture, on mine it is marked down to 15 BTDC and the range on the distributor will go even more if need be.

Jim,

There is another guy that has just done this mod in the UK. His ignition timing is the same as mine. It can only be advanced by about 8 degrees in total before it comes to the stop.

Not sure if this standard here. The buggies are an 05 and 06 model year. Does anyone here have any explanations for this?

R

Mike
