Jim how did your carb swap come out? Which carb did you get and did you make your own exhaust or use the stock.

[b]Sorry it took so long to get back to you guys. This is where I stand now. Got the carb all set up & no I have not hooked up a vaccum advance It runs good when I get into the main ckt but rich off idle, so I'm still messing with the jets. ( If anybody has a good running Fast Freddie kit maybe they can take a look & let me know) I had to make a mounting plate for the gas tank & move it to the rear to get a 3.25 tall K&N filter on it, even with the jetting trb it still makes a big difference. I took my pipe down to a local muffler shop & had the cut off the 1.5 pipe from the collector to the muffler & put a 2.25 in it's place. So far I have about $500.00 into this project.
