hello i have got myself a joyner 650 ss but it has a few problems. its an 07 model and the problems are the battery isnt charging. the battery holds a charge when charged up with a battery charger but dosnt charge up on the buggy i have had the alternator checked and it checked out ok. so im thinking either rectifier or wiring but not sure best place to start. do these buggys have earth straps or is everything contained in loom. other problems are petrol low level light is on all the time there are three wires coming out of the chrome tank sender a black.white and pink but only the black and white follow on to the rest of the wiring past the connector. the other problem is the odometer is not working and is intermittent it has sometimes worked but most of the time it isnt. do these buggys have a fuse box or where would be the best place to start looking for wiring problems. also clutch pedal is quite stiff is this normal and there is a small flat spot when setting off you need to rev past or it stalls. any help or suggestions would be fantastic thanks.

1. Low petrol light - This light is usually controlled by needle position in the gauge. Perhaps your internal switch is stuck? I have never tried to disassemble the gauge to see it I could get inside.
2. Odometer - The odometer is powered 12VDC and takes input from the spinning speedometer cable. If the speedometer is not cutting out, you probably have intermittent power going in through a connection on either end.
3. Flat spot - The carburetor has a needle valve adjustment to eliminate this flat spot. I have not done this, so hopefully someone else will chime in.

most problems sorted now throttle cable snapped on me last week so when ordering new cable i also ordered a new dash pod which sorted out the odometer problem the petrol light i have sorted i think, the wires from the tank were coupled wrong the light worked when sender was out when i tested it so it should be ok now. as stated above i sorted alternator problem out. only thing left is the clutch is really stff i got a new cable when ordering the throttle cable but when i dissconected the clutch cable it seemed to be very free and the problem appears to be at the tranny side of things. anybody else had this trouble what should i look for.
