The SandSpider is lighter and smaller than the SandViper plus it has a locked rear end. If you plan on mud, get the SS650.

The weber carb upgrade would be better on the engine and provides nearly as much HP as the turbo.

There is nothing wrong with the turbo, though as many have had turbos on their machines for many years with out issues.

The turbos run about $2000-$2500 where the Weber upgrade is about $1500.

Unless.....You can find a used one with a turbo. Then you will not have to invest in a new turbo system.

You posted a link to a used 800 Joyner. It was an 05. Do not consider this machine. Even though it is turboed I would consider a newer model and pay a little more At that time the 800 was carburated and in too large a frame. Later the 800 SV powerplant was made EFI and put in the 650 SV frame creating the 800 MV. An 1100 EFI was placed in the old 800 SV and created the 1100 SV.
