When my engine is running on my Joyner 650ss, I am hearing a clicking sound coming from my engine. Ive tried to pinpoint where the noise is coming from but am still not positive. I think it may be coming from under what I think is the "valve cover"? I think..?? The large piece where the oil fill cap is located. The noise increases when I give it gas and then stays at a steady interval while idleing. Ive head it before but it went away, and just today I heard it again...
Valve problem perhaps? Seems like one thing after another on this machine lately....ahhhh!! Any advice would be great, meanwhile Ill seach the forum for any related info that might help. Thanks guys.

wow, extremely helpful thread. I'm going to do my valve adjustment this coming weekend, hopefully all goes well. The valve cover gasket is the only part I should be needing to replace right? Everything else should just need adjusting from my understanding.
In your opinion what or who would be the quickest source to obtain a valve cover gasket before the weekend aside from Joyner directly?

Hi, the valve cover gasket is made from a neopreme,O ring type material,i have used the same gasket over again many times with no leaks. So unless your gasket is really old you should be able to use it over again.Ghost
