Congrats...
Once you have all the bugs worked out, it looks like you'll have a nice buggy. You seem to be pretty good at troubleshooting... You're the right kind of person to take on a new kart such as this.
I really like the roll cage and chassis on this model. It looks really stout.
Keep up the good work and let us know how it works out. Can't wait to see some new pics.

Yes, it came with all the mud panels. I just have not got them in the picture. I completed assembly last night and got the buggy running. The fuel pump had slightly rusted. I took a piece of stiff wire and turned the turbine and it started working. It fired up the first turn over. I still do have a small fuel leak at the tank. I am going to take it apart and use form-a-gasket plus drill additional holes for more bolts. I will keep everyone posted.
I did a field test of the GK-40 yesterday. It did very well on hard compact dirt road. I went in the woods on loose dirt and leaves. It did not do as well, but not bad. I have a klunk noise when you get the buggy with torque. It sound like the drive shaft free floating and moving back and forth. I do not think it is a problem but does anyone have any information on this? Please advise?

The majority of these Chinesse buggys have been known to have rear cv joint problems. Your best bet is to not use it until you get rear shock limit straps. Measure the full extended lenghth and sutract 2 inches. That works well. The quad limit strap is the strongest. If it's 23" get a 21". Thats what I wound up using.
Another field test: I just tried the GK-40 on some of the rockiest trail hill climbs. It did very well, some of the ATV riders were amazed by the buggy's ability to climb the hills and rocks. Problems: The engine wanted to overheat or at least the gauge was showing hot. The 1st gear was tall but if you keep the RPMS up and did not stop it would not stop. The rear end allows only one wheel to grab and if a tire is off the ground it spins out. I did get it stuck in a 3 1/2 foot hole and it was devilville getting it out. We had to pull it out with a artic cat 650 and Yamaha Grizzly. The winch is just about usless, i would recommend upgrading it if you are taking out on side trails. Also make sure you silicone all of the electrical connector. I got some water in electrical. Overall it did very well.
Sounds like you have many of the issues that our 800's have...
You must have the higher geared transmission, it sucks if you stop on a hill...you can not get it going again The lower geared transmission made a huge difference.($750.00)
I have been swapping electrical connectors with "water tight " connectors.
Make sure the connection to the fan is solid, and watch to make sure it keeps running. The only time I have had a problem with overheating is when the fan stops working ( always an electrical connection issue) when I get the fan working again...no more problems.
I would strap the shocks "before" you have a problem with the CV's...I have not had a problem "since" strapping the shocks.
with these issue's addressed, the buggy has been great for me
good luck and post some pics and video when you get the chance
