Just got this buggy in a trade. It was burned in a fire. Just bought all new electrical components. Need help wiring it up. I have seen so many different drawings... this is what i need to wire . 2 plug cdi ,regualtor, relay, coil, starter plunger, generator and key switch.
I dont know if i need a resister after the starterplunger or if i can just ground that wire??? im wiring in no lights horns ect. just the basics so dad has a toy to ride while my kids ride there's lol....one last ? where can i get a new plug for my cdi "the 4 wire side not the 2" and a resister if i need one.....

thanks for your help...
Hope to be riding soon and not just banging my head against the garage lol.... 8)

welcome to buggynews, you need to measure the length of the stut, how far down from the top is the mounting tab for the tie rod, and the length of the spindle. I might have one.

doing the cvt mods will be a good place to start. change the main spring, and go to ligther rollers.

the cvt has 2 pulleys, the drive pully ( variator ) and the driven pulley ( clutch pulley ). the variator has rollers inside that move up and down in ramps with engine rpm. going to a ligther roller will put the engines power band higher in the rpm range and adding low end power.

the main spring is behind the clutch and controls how many rpm it take to open or close the clutch pulley, thus keeping more pressure on the belt and keeping it low the lower gear range longer, it also helps down shift quicker for power in and out of turns.

Thank you for explaining that So more or less rebuild the clutch for better performance with more weight. more torque, less top end.

I have to get the picture in so i can show youn the front spindles..

I try to get it in the few hours ... Being A electrician , how much can you run of the generator or stator .. how many watts( kilowatts) is this rated for on the 125 cc engine ? Could I run More Lights Than whats on this buggy? Sorry for all these questions..

Brad

you can only run maybe 2 more lights with the stock stator. 35 watts and no more than 3.5-4 amps each.
