Just picked this beauty up yesterday
DK year or model...It has a 6 hp Tecumseh. Unlike my bigger buggies...it has no torque converter...just a clutch with a small sprocket that goes to the big sprocket that is connected directly to the wheel and brake assembly.
Does anyone know how to get the clutch off? The previous owner put spacers between the clutch and the engine and now the brake doesn't line up I pulled out the bolt that goes into the shaft, and there was an allen screw on the back of the clutch to hold it onto the shaft. Removed that guy but still can't get the clutch off. As always...your input is appreciated

You love you some yard carts It's probly just froze to the shaft. Do as funnyman said. Might be alot less work to add a washer behind the rim. Thats what I always did

The washers behind the rim are the problem...pushed the brake drum too far out and pulled the band brake off and rubbed through
Just ordered new brake return spring, band brake and seatbelt from Kart-Mart...should have the parts by Fri. so I can have it back on...err...off the road this weekend
Scott and crew rock!

Ive had 2 band brakes fail 1 wore thru and 1 stick and mud messed it up.Also if the chain breaks or comes off ----no brakes the later is only if the band goes around the clutch
