i'm fairly new to the buggy scene but did A LOT of surfing to find out who was reputable when purchasing buggy parts. i'm glad i found this site because all the dealers on here have treated me with respect and have been fair on price when it comes to ordering parts. unfortunately, there are some suppliers out there that take advantage of situations and try to profit from their customers when there is limited supply of parts. just an FYI for all out there to stay away from HAMMERHEADPARTS.COM they tried to sell me a clutch bell for almost twice what they sell for from the dealers on here AND a shipping and handling charge of $10 and i'm only 2 hours away from them!!!
my opinion of "handling" charges has always been that it's just another gimick to make a buck. freight is freight and that's fine but leave it at that. o.k, i'm done.......

there have been alot of clutch bells going bad latley. I was able to get one to ship to a customer.

I dunno how much they were charging for the bell itself, but $10 for the shipping is about right.

Clutch bells are heavy (about 3lbs by itself), and no matter what shipping carrier you choose, that works out to almost $10 in shipping for that amount of weight.

On the other hand, $100+ for a stock clutch bell seems a bit excessive!

i'm in no way trying to come accross like i'm tight or being anal but i ship parts out EVERY day via UPS & FED-EX. i'm in ohio and i can ship a 3lb. package from here to seattle washington for $6.50. that's a published price without my discounts. this vendor i'm refering to in in the same state less than 2 hrs. away from me. that freight cost should have been less than $4. i'm done whining.....it just ticks me off when people try and hose me. there might be more naive people in this country than i thought. we all work hard for our money and i watch every dime of it.

i want to extend my apologies to any dealer i may have offended with the "freight charge" comment. i realize that not everyone ships the volume that i do and my freight cost may be lower than most. i guess i was so upset about that distributor wanting to overcharge me for the part that i got caught up in the rest of it. sorry to all.
