Im looking for a buggy for the family being that I live in CA it must be CARB approved or I risk seizure of the buggy and a ticket. Since I am new to the bugging game why not come to the experts who know, here at buggy news. Ultimatley I am looking for a list and what/where I can purchase CARB approved buggies other than joyner.

Your probably barking up the wrong tree. Most of us on this sight arnt from california and know nothing of carb. From the posts Ive seen most of the cal guys are in the dark as well due to mis-info from importers. Not sure where you would get RELIABLE info but the way I understand it dealers in cal cant sell it unless it meets carb. So go looking locally for whats available.

My uncle bought 2 2007 250cc sand vipers from a authorized deal here in socal, the first time out they both broke down and now he's having trouble with the dealer's so called 30day warranty. They said they called head quarters in arizona and they dont want to approve the repairs even though it was in the 30day period. Im not saying that they all have problems but if mine does I dont want to deal with a company like that. Where did you buy yours and what did you pay? I saw a deal in sandiego that has the 2006 sand devil 250cc for less than 3K brand new http://adcache.atvtraderonline.com/5/8/9/85823989.htm Is this the model you have?

i dont know about the dealer but joyner has a pretty go rep for taking care of thier products. If there are problems like you say call joyner direct. also I know that as of today hammerheads dont have carb aproval for 2007's

Joyner has a 90 day warranty period. If they broke down within that period then they should be repaired....barring no abuse of the machine. Before a machine is sold to a customer it is given a (PDI) Pre-Delivery Inspection to insure that the machine was 100% operational at the time of the sale. If the machine breaks down through no fault of the customer then it should be covered.

The truth is I dont know whats wrong with them I know it has somthing to do with the trani/cvt or somthing like that. I dont know all the details of the damage but I know my uncle is upset and says if they dont warranty the parts that he is going to fix them and sell them. On the other hand just got a quote on the carter brothers they want msrp on the $3699 for 150 and $4699 for the 250 if I recall correctly. Id rather buy the joyner for 4K. Any openions on this?

I got mine from WFO Motorsports in Hesperia. It's a 250 MotoBravo and it was 2,528 dollars otd with a 90 days warranty. It is getting a green sticker and on the title it says ATV. Here is the link if you want to see what the buggy looks like, but this is not the WFO website. http://www.asctechs.com/scooter_gc_250.htm
