Ok, since everyone has been asking, here is Momma's new ride. She has wanted one of these forever. And she has been real good about all the buggies I have and have been involved in so I just couldn't pass it up. You know how it is as long as Momma is happy everyone is happy.

1965 VW convertible with a stock 40hp engine. It does need some work so it is not quite as nice as the pictures show. So seeing as I have nothing else to do :^o it looks like it may one of my next projects.

Nice. You could always make it into one of those souped up baja bugs when she isn't looking. :D

I am thinking of going a get two 74 Sun Bugs. I need a dual port motor and an IRS tranny for parts and thought I would finish the second one to recoup some of my expenses.

I use to work on these a lot back in the day and have had several back when money was real tight. I would buy and fix and flip for extra income. Never had a vert tho.

Why would any body design a motor without oil filter, just a screen in the sump.Maybe a lawnmower.I still scratch my head at how long these bugs run.Ghost
