this is my stock appearing exhaust....My neighbor (real cool guy) said he heard a HUGE difference.....

Everything bolted right back on, and it cost me nothing! Hope yours works out! I was going to try the drill, but I was afraid I would go too far, or screw something up....Then I used my head and used the MIG!!!! lol

Have fun!

John

Is there such a thing as a cheap mig welding kit? Since buying this darn buggy, I keep thinking I need to get some welding gear. Of course, I don't know the difference between mig and tig. :? :)

Any thoughts as to what I should be looking for in a welding kit?

race,

So the the guts of that thing is just like a snaked tube, radiator style? Man that has to be super-restrictive. Anybody know what the Twister HP pipe is like inside?

EXACTLY SUPER!!! It is snake style, tons of restriction...but that is its whole purpose. if you have the right tools...easy job!

the way to deal with that snake is to simply reach in and cut out that last 180 degree bend through the open back of the muffler. Weld the end cap back on, drill out that puny little outlet tube with a 1"1/4 hole, remount the chrome cover. That really wakes up some HP, The neighbors too, if you leave the end cap off! You might as well go ahead and get a aftermarket tuned pipe, cause once you feel how much you gain ,the after markets will give you again that much over. then a low restrictive intake filter, rejetting! your just getting warmed up :D These mods really wake up a howhit.

This is what I did to my twister muffler. It made a big improvement without going over the db level that our orv park has. Sounds very close to what a flowmaster sounds like.
