Been a while since I have posted but I have not forgotten Buggynews. The LT-2 project is near completion. I went to Buttercup, CA yesterday and had a good time. The day was short because the air intake keeps getting clogged with sand (currently working on a mod). All that remains are longer shocks for the rear and paint. This project cost me way more then I thought it would and I will never see the money when I sell it but, oh well, what are you gonna do?
Top speed yesterday was 51.8mph (in the sand). I am sure I can get more speed if only I could keep the air intake clean. Here are some pics.
do not worry about getting your money back... I do not have a single toy that I could get my money back on Build it for what you want and enjoy what you got

Looks good! I am glad you are finally starting to enjoy it. Why do you need longer shocks in the rear? Is Rob selling the wrong length with the kit? Or did you change something?
Oh and if you want to feel better about the $$$, look at Venoms site. They are selling that buggy complete for $19k! I am sure you are way under that.
I had a blast today. I had it up to 58.2mph today and still had another gear to go.
As for the rear shocks, I changed something. Currently running Fox gas 2.0, 8.5" on all four corners. I just pulled them off my MotoUs. I think I will go to 10" or 11" Gas Reservoir on the rear.
I need to add a chain tensioner. The chain is stretching and I am afraid to run it very hard until I can make this mod.
A friend of a friend was out there with us today with a video camera. I will try and see if he got an footage he would be willing to share.

looks like you should have a blast in that thing. I got a few questions for you. Why did you mount the gas tank so high and exposed? What engine you running in it and what type of gear box you have in it? Is it a team moto gear box or is it the sprocket design?
Mounted the gas tank there because that is where it seemed to fit best. I may regret it if I roll it, however. I had envisioned it a little lower but that is where it ended up. I may rethink it before I send to powder coat.
I am running a Kawasaki Z1000 motor. Bought it off eBay.
The gear box is an RPM. The gear box from Team-moto is not good for this application. RPM was expensive but the quality is worth every cent.
