Had a little trouble with the Suzuki Eiger. It was completely submerged while trying to cross a creek. We tried cranking it for awhile then realized it was full of water. Towed it home, drained the oil a few times and it fired up and ran fine. Then, I cleaned the air filter, which is like a UNI, oiled, changed the plug, changed the oil filter and the oil one more time (at total of three times). It ran fine, but then I could not hit the throttle without it dying. So, to be clear, it was running fine after it had been submerged, but then out of the blue, it will run and idle, but if any throttle is given, it will die. Any thoughts? In the carb?

yep, pull the air box off and claen it real good, take the carb apart and clean eveything, disconnect all the electrical connections and get any water or dirt out and use some dialectric grease when putting them back

Thanks guys. I drained the tank - actually took it out and dumped it. Took the carb apart and whaddya know, some junk in the main jet. See pic below. Gonna try and get it put back together today and see if that fixed it, but that sure seems like the culprit.
The carb is very similar to our buggy carbs. Odd that even the slightest throttle made it bog down. Don't they say the main jet is responsible for throttle range 3/4 to wide open?
