Looks good so far. What type of shocks are you using front and rear? You say you are using sliding u-joint axles, are you able to give us a picture of the set up as you intend to make it? What type of braking will there be only one brake in the rear on the center axle? I see the spindle assembly is a standard go kart assembly, I am wondering why you aren't making your own spindles and brackets provided you are making the rest of the buggy? You could still use a standard 4 on 4 wheel hub but make a much stronger spindle and bracket that will also allow the wheels to stay absolutely straight during travel bump to bump.
The shocks are generic mechanical 500 pound shocks. I don't have pictures of the axels yet but i should have some by the end of the weekend. I will eventually make my own axels but we are in the proof of concept stages. I will be using a single disc braking system to start off with. But when i make my own axels in front i will be using hubs with disc attached.

I will have the trailing arms finished by this weekend. That was the hardest part so far. I had a design change! I purchased a snowmobile motor instead of the industrial motor. I am going with a 340cc water cooled Kawasaki motor, with a spool and no reverse. The comet FNR wouldn't take the added hp.

I like the snow moblie engine. Yea I would say the comet FNR won't handle that! Keep the gearing low and you should be able to spin it around Can't wait to see the rear of the buggy.

Probably a comet torque converter on the 440 not likely a FNR would hold up to much more than 20HP

Funnyman has a comet I believe on his 440. The suspension is always the hardiest. Look forward to the build's progress
KBtoys, yes I still have that buggy I will never get rid of it,its too much fun. Top speed open run I haven't done the calculations but it is well over 80MPH I have geared it a couple different ways. initially it was geared for speed but it was awful for launching. Now it is geared very well and I am able to pull the front end off the ground about 2 feet and ride it through first gear. Next one needs a busa engine
