with the stock exhaust and what you done most everybody gets by with a 125 jet, that is if you open the exhaust up some by drilling your muffler some.the stock exhaust is pretty restrictive.

if you leave the exhaust the way it is a 120 or 122 should be close.

thats what i have found out at my elevation.i run a stock drilled muffler.

its probably running to rich but i can't say that is all your problem.
get that change and then we can see if you need to do some tunning on the air/fuel mixture screw.with more air going into engine you might have to richen up it on the pilot jet side of carb.

what size main jet did you put in it?
did you pull your spark plug out from last night and see what it looked like.?
do you know where the air/fuel mixture screw is?
last night when you was starting it did you have to have the gas pedal pushed down some to start it.?

I put a 125 jet in
I didn't check the spark plug
I do know where the air/fuel mixture screw is
and I was pushing down the pedal when I was trying to start it

ok i'm not sure what is happening but i'm sure that the 125 main jet is going to be closer to being wright with a stock exhaust, that nothing has been done to it.
pull your spark plug out and look at it. was there that much gas that could have foul it out when you had carb hooked up wrong.
are all your vacuum lines hooked up wright carb tight on intake and no intake leaks.

if every thing checks out maybe try richening up the air fuel screw.you could turn it in clock wise all the way until it lightly bottoms out.count the complete full turns and halfs then put it back were it was so you will know if it don't help.
then try giving it a 1/8 to 1/4 turn out (counter clockwise) for gas and see if that helps.
thats all i can think of.
