I think that applies to the fuel injected models. Fuel comes out of the petcock into a T. From there it goes to the fuel pump and the fuel return goes in the other side. If you got the one carb to work and the other does not, I would tear it down give it a good cleaning. If that doesn't work it's time for a new carb.

i see your point kbtoys but if his has the vacuum petcock the diaphragm can go bad and let it take gas down the vacuum line on the intake.it will run super rich getting gas from carb and vacuum line.
the vacuum petcock has two outlets bottom outlet is vacuum.top outlet is gas.
when engine is running vacuum opens diaphragm and let gas through, engine shut downs diaphragm is supposed to close shutting gas off.

It does run with the other carb on it? Will it idle for any length of time? I so, replace the carb! i'd try and rebuild it, new it is $320 from roketa! Thats a lot of attempts at rebuilding a carb!

Yea thats a rip off right there. I got my 30mmslide with riser, intake, more gaskets and spacers for 200 from Mike. The carb should be right around what Eric said and thats a slide

If i remember correctly this is a 800cc gk-25? The next option is a weber side draft with the new manifold. That's not going to be cheap.

Hello, sorry for the delay in response.

Thank you for all the info. I have a fleet of 6 kinroad 150s and I went to the scooter store with my existing idle/slow run jet and they did have a jet that was the same size in length.

Thats funny you mentioned not to mention buggies. the first 2 places i called, they advertised scooter and motorcycles but they must have only had parts for motorcycles. I simply asked if they had parts for a carb for a gy6 150cc motor and both of them asked me what was the motor on and what brand. I dont understand how hard it is to answer my question , yes we do carry parts for that, or no we do not.
once I told them it was a 150 gy6 motor it was for a buggy they said oh ....pause like they had never heard of such a thing and say uh well we probaby would not carry that.
Anyway, Pud you are right about, dont be an evil buggy owner and if you are dont admit it or they will become customer noservice.

Thanks for letting me vent and back to my issues.

As I was saying in my previous post about that i thought i made the hole to wide in the idle jet and that is why it wouldnt start.

well the new jet I got is the same length, but the hole going up the center is bigger than the one on the jet i thought i made too big.

I put the new jet in and it fired right up. So it fixed my problem starting the buggy but I dont know what was actually wrong with the jet i thought i messed up.

The petcock is a vacuum and it does not leak gas out the vacuum nozzle only the gas nozzle. That is why Bige said that as long as the float needle is working right it should shut off the gas even though the petcock is stuck open.

Gas does not overflow out of the overflow valve hose(which i have had happen before when i had a piece of trash in the float needle.

My question is How would gas get into the oil in the first place?
Is there only one way for gas to get in the oil, or several ways?

Also I noticed white smoke, which only lasts about a minute after starting, before it quits smoking and is normal, I believe that means it is running rich.
Does that mean I have my air/fuel screw(at the bottom of the carb) adjusted too far out?

Thanks again

If the overflow passages arn't working properly, or too much gas is entering the carb. before it can evacuate, it will leak through the carb. and into the intake valve of the engine, from there because its thinner than oil it will slowly seep past the rings and into the oil sump.
