Carbs are cheap on ebay, and the 250 needs a carb upgrade anyway, why not buy a 30 or 32 mm carb on ebay and adapt it. Van

The stocker is a 30mm, at least mine was. Not sure about others. I went with a 32mm pumper, but now you're talking more money.

Thats what I would do. Either a pumper or slide. Even if you went with the 30mm you would see gains let alone a 32

So I have all the wires and connections in pretty good shape besides these two. I assume one of them is for the electric choke on the carb, would that be the one with the connector? How do I know if the carb I am buying has the same connector type? Could I just cut the connectors off and twist the wires together?

That is the standard electric choke connector in your pictures.

most carbs have a electric choke that will just plug right in. some of the 32mm and slide carbs have a manual choke
