Actually, in a round about way, we may have found a way to prevent another damaged gear set: Use the Carter axle sprocket to gear down your HH250, then size up the rear tires until you get the ratio you want. This will take pressure off your transmission and clutch.

What size sprocket does your CN-powered HH run? You may be able to drop in a Joyner sprocket. Buggy Junkies make 12t and 11t engine sprockets for the CFMoto, I am still waiting on feedback from guys who bought one on how well they wear.
