Well I did NOT build this one, we bought it from a local guy off craigslist. I am not sure if he was even the builder, but we need something suspended for the kid to ride and get the family into the hobby.

I have already been modifying it. the overall rig is not "square" from a build standpoint, lots of things were not aligne dproperly on the original build. I am cutting and rewelding things as I see them. 1st off was moving the rack 1/2 back int eh chassis so it did not loose leverage on the steering knuckles.. then moved the pass lower control arm forward 1/2" so the left and right are pretty much located the same in the chassis..

For it's size, it must ride good with the independant
suspesion, never seen that on such a small buggy
before.

Yeah that is why I grabbed it soon as I saw the pictures. the Comet torque convertor and the rear suspen made is a must buy in my eyes..

It does ride extremely smooth, even with my heavy butt in it.

Looks like a modified Baja Blaster 6.5 to me. They have these at my local Pep Boys.

Based on that picture you linked and my up close look and work on the buggy that may very well be what it was. I have a strong feeling though that someone took one of those chassia nd cut it apart, then tried to rebuild it. Many of the welds I see I KNOW are not factory, then others are.. Maybe someone wrecked it then tried to straigthen it.. I will look at those links you gave me THANKS!!!!

WOW even the tire tread up front matches!! That is definitely what it once was....

Now just slap on a 150cc Lifan or something and your kids will be qualifying for Nextel Cup!!

What is annoying/concerning is that someone cut it up? I mean there are things on here I KNOW cannot be from the factory??

Based on the picture it looks like the steering rack was in its normal location? but on my cart the lower A Arms were not uniform in the chassis and the passenger steering knuckle where the tie-rod attaches would go behind the rack? and under the boots on the rack are home-made shims and adapter blocks??

I need to get some pictures of that stuff for you guys, is almost scarey the hacks down to this poor buggy :-p

Makes buying the plan sets even more interesting and building him a 2 seat cart so I know the chassis is good and straight to put the drivetrain and good pieces into...
