I think I made a rookie mistake, I ordered a uni filter, jets, 15g sliders, and a MRP short red main spring. should I have waited for a Malossi instead? thanks guys Tim
I'm assuming that you're talking about the Malossi white main spring?
The white and red springs are pretty close overall in their spring tension, and are physically the same size. The red spring has just slightly more tension to it (between 10-20lbs more force) and will give pretty close to the same results.
What you might encounter with either one of the springs (white or red) and the 15g sliders is some top end speed loss because the weight of the 15g sliders might not be able to fully overcome the tension of the spring. At the same time, you should have terrific acceleration and good responsiveness after letting off the gas, cornering, or climbing.

When installing your sliders be very wary of putting the variator back together. Make sure the back plate is seated properly and the outer spacers are in the correct position. If this is not done, then your variator will work loose and damage the splines on the fan portion.
