Here is another freebie that I like it is called IRFANVIEW. But the program is not what your problem is. Lower your DPI setting and you won't change the pic size just the file size. Too low though and your pic will look bad.

guy's download this program "picsizer" it will resize batch photos, make sure you resize to a new file so you don't resize the original's. it is a great program to use to post multi files to the web etc. cam accross it a few months back and I have used it since, give it a try, real simple.

Stu

I tried to us paint to down size some pictures but seemed like a guessing game to get the picture small enough. Tried the picsizer and you know exactly how small you are making it. You can save your downsized pictures to the same file as the original if you rename them something different than the original. I just put a 1 after the original name and that way I have the original and downsized one all in the same file so they are easy to find. It also helps to set the picture quality on your camera to the lowest setting for pictures you want to post. This makes the file size smaller to start with so you don't have to downsize the pictures as much.

I found another way to resize pics for posting. Win Power Toys for XP. Go to this site and then about half way down on the right is the download (image resizer). With this all you have to do is right click on the photo and then select (resize picture). I keep the ones I have resized in a separate folder.
