we run stock and modified against each other all of the time, my guess is he is either not jetted properly or something else is "buggy" with his kart, our modified is much faster even with a heavier driver in it. like steve said, not much diff in the top end but huge gaps in grag race. something is up. weird. what is his jetting? if he bought it from sand highway they typically don't recomend rejetting which I personnaly view as a mistake.

You must have something set up wrong :?: wrong jet possibly....We have tested numerous differnt 150s stock against modified (UNI, White Bros, jet)...and the modified buggy ran faster off the start and at top end, By far!!

i went riding with a friend today we both have dazon 150 singles mine is stock, his has k&n filter, rejetted, and white bros. pipe. we drag raced around 500 yards, he weighs 190, i weigh 140 i beat him every time by about 2 buggy lengths, then he put his 10 year old son in it and we ran 6 times, dead even every time. makes me wonder if these 300.00 pipes are worth it. has any body else ran a stock and a modified buggy side by side and compared them?
(i havent gotten my weights drilled out yet hopefully this weekend.)
