it looks like the price will be about $9999, I`ll take one!! it now beats the ridgerunner, 50" wide 4x4 and 10,000 dollars cheaper. I`ve been hoping someone would build something with grunt, and narrow enough for 4wheeler trail riding!!!!!! way to go polaris!!!
Interesting choice of words "it now beats the Ridge Runner".
It depends what you want to do with it.
True the RZR has an AWD system to the RR's spooled rear end. True the RZR is only 50" wide to the RR's 56" wide. True the RZR is half the price.
But also is true is:
The RR has 18" of GC to the RZR's 10". The RR has 13.5" susp travel to the RZR's 9.5". The RR has a top speed of 65 MPH to the RZR's 50 MPH The RR does not have an anti sway bar up front which can limit articulation. The RR weighs about 810 lbs to the RZR's 945 lbs. The RR has a low gear option the RZR does not.
Just pointing out some more of the comparisons between the two vehicles since you brought the comparison up in the first place.

Official pics are out!
I don't like many of the side by sides... except the tricked out Rhinos, but I like this one STOCK!
Very good job by Polaris, indeed.
I'll haveto take a closer look, but by the stats, this would like like the ideal high power trail runner for me at the moment.
50 inches wide... that's pretty much a go anywhere vehicle! Just squeeks into the ATV trails at some of the more strict sites with width rules. Check out the RZR followin an ATV between the polls marked OHV Only down below. It's obvious what Polaris had in mind here.

Yes you are correct. But I live in ga, we only have very narrow trails around here. If I lived out west I`d want the Ridgerunner. but round here, I`ve been waiting for someone to build just such a beast, and at a decent price to boot.
