On my Carbide the Intake tube is really tight under the bar. I know Straight air flow is the norm/. What do u think of running a elbow pipe off the carb going up? Over going under the bar.

i had the same question when i put the uni & jet kit on my carbide a month ago. that pipe will fit a little snug under there but it will be fine. you are better to use that pipe than lengthen it with something else. you might have to re-jet the carb if you affect the air flow too much and it may affect performance.

Did u have to shorten the rubber boot so it stoped before it went under the bar? cause mine will not fit under the bar with the tube inside the boot, its too big.

take the rubber boot off the tube and put it on the carb first. tighten the clamp on the carb side of the boot then slide the tube under the bar and into the boot.

i asked bige the same questions when i got mine from him but it will work. you just have to put that hose on the carb first, then slide the tube under the bar. it's a tight fit but will be fine.

yea, it does, just slightly. i know what you mean about the cold. when i put mine on, it was below 20 degrees here too. i can snap a picture of mine when i get home & post it if you want. when go to slide that tube in the boot you may need to push down just a little on the carb to get it in there. not too hard though.

I got my uni and associated 6"+ stack from Eric... all one unit. Trust me it'll fit. So long as the connections are tight no worries. In fact I like mine without the "jiggle" room... Means it's less likely to come off in the rough stuff. Besides it seems to be a researched thing that the 6-6,1/2 in. stack works the best. Never had a "slip-off" yet and I run the heII outta my buggy.
