J have tried using the search option several times, with different words, and to no avail, still get no results. Anyone else have this problem? Am I doing something wrong?

What are you searching for? Maybe someone can help you. I usually google it and if its here it will put me here to this site.

Nothing in particular, except just browsing through info on my buggy, parts, builds etc. Like I wanted to know about different variators, and just wanted to read all the posts on them. Typed it in...nothing. Doesn't seem to work. I would just rather read about things first, rather than ask dumb or rookie questions. It seems most newbies, myself included ask a lot of questions in the same post, or PM, and somebody pops off that "this was covered in another post or thread. Well, if I could type that word or question in the search, it might keep all the veterans on here from being so short with us Noobs. Ya know? LOL

try using the "*" wildcard when you search. it may help.

Go to google put in what you want to search for then space over and put

site:buggynews.com

It will google search this forums works like a champ

I know I can do that with google. But, if there is a search option on this forum, it ought to be easily usable, just sayin'. Not knocking the Mods or Admins, just wondered if there was a problem with it, or it needed to be tweaked. Like I said, it helps to do a little pre-search, or research before asking questions that get asked over and over. Like one recent topic I posted on here, I kept reading further and further through posts, and saw somebody else posted the same question, and got answers.
The problem is.....my own impatience. Guess I have gotten spoiled with convenience and technology.

Over 4800 hits on search when you put in variator as the search term and over 5000 when using variator* as the term.

I just tried it again. Clicked on search at top page in title/toolbar. With and without a *. Tried specific forums, tried general. Tried different words. Even typed in buggy. Nothing...nada...not one single find.Then checked all settings to make sure I didn't have something "clicked" off. I know on some forums that I am a member of, if I am not logged in, I cannot search. But I am obviously logged in if I am typing here.
Can a MOD or ADMIN see if I am locked out of searches?

LOL!!! OK....just went back again and typed the asterick* after the word instead of in front. Got over 4000 returns. Hmmmmm. But, still typing a word with no *, got zero returns. Will make it work...let the fun begin.
