All, I smoked the belt on my kids Silver Fox, and have ordered 2 belts to replace it, and both are too big. According to the belt, it has Manco 5959 , 2 degrees, 1704- , and 382 on it. as the belt shredded, I can't measure it. But both belts I have ordered have 5959 on them, but seem to be WAY too big, with about 1.5" of play, causing the buggy to not go up hills, go and stop frequently if going all out, and simply reving the engine without spinning the belt when flooring it. what am I missing here? Are there different belts? Neither of the 2 replacement belts that I bought work, and neither say 2 degrees. All ofmthe belts have been installed correctly... Help!

my 1st 2 buggies were silverfoxes so i know a lil bit about them. i am an american sportworks parts dealer/service center and i would recomend this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Comet-Go-Kart-C ... c9&vxp=mtr
it's as good if not a better deal then what i could retail you from ASW and it's an original comet belt and not a cheap knock-off. the price is great, when northern tools used to sell belts in store for karts they were retailing comet belts for almost $40.

Is that belt for the short case? The belt that shredded had "2 degrees" on it. What's that mean?

the reference to short case or long case is referring to GY6 150cc scooter engines.
your manco has a 6.5hp robin subaru engine (lawn mower, pull start style engine) w/ a comet 30 series torque converter clutch system. 2 completely different monsters.
the link i posted for you is the belt you need.
pgh was referring to a gy6 belt size that he assumed from the #'s you posted which will not work for what you have.

looked at the link showed a 203589 belt.
how close would a comet 203581A come to fitting what he has.3/4 belt 340 series?????

I have one back in some 005 and 006 topics a couple or few guys was trying this on the gy6 setup.remember belts for the gy6 was harder to find then, not everyone had plenty like now.didn't use it after I got it.

I got it from jeg's high performance back in 1/27/2007 belt was 18.99
was charged 10.99 for shipping and handling it came fedex ground home delivery 2.25 for that,if memory is right only way I could get it
I still have the invoice and box it came in.the only thing any of it did for me was the box to store gy6 belts in lessons you learn

The comet belts are very specific based on pulley size and distance from the crank shaft pulley to the jackshaft pulley pud, so it most likely would not work.

after I got some glass's put on to see the little chart on other side of wrapper the belt slides in. I see what your saying.this belt wouldn't do him any good.
saw the topic just thought it might work I would have gave it to him.
someone will need it someday :)
