Glad it was not too bad. Are you putting antiseize on before installing new bearings?

well i will finish this post for now hopefully.i got the passenger side tore down old bearing out new bearings back in and back together. my passenger side brake pad were worn down to metal on one just caught it in time.the bracket caliper floats on was hung up dry of grease one pad still had some life in it but other was toast. all ball joints and tie rod ends got some grease used a tiny screw driver pried boots open and used my grease needle.then i turn the balls and moved the balls in all different direction while turning. i notice when i try to put a grease fitting in and cap came off i could put grease on ball turned it it would pull grease down in into joint. so hopefully the boot side it did the same thing they felt like they tightened up.ball joints and tie rod ends still had grease in them. when i was putting hub back on it was going tight on axle didn't seem to want to go on.so i gave the hub a hard pulled axle came with it.if i wanted the axle out it probably wouldn't want to come out axle has a small like snap ring it went back in ok and seem to lock
i didn't take any pictures this time just wanted to get it back together so i can work on the generator. going to have to pull carb off to get a screw out so i can take bowl off float needle is not shutting the gas off again

Well it's been a year on new wheel bearings. Yesterday jacked back to pull wheels off to grease bushings and notice the rear passenger already some slack in bearings. I even un-peened nut to see if it was a little loose,it wasn't. The rest seem tight still. Heading out Saturday on a ride with a old friend a lady.i hope it holds up and make it back

Riding in mud and whatnot will eat up bearings in a hurry. Hate changing bearings. Not hard, but so much stuff to take off to get to 'em.
Yep sockmanme to i don't like taking all the crap off. Saturday suppose to be like 93 with high humidity.i'm going to try to stay out of mud The seals still look like there sealing but I'm sure stuff gets in. I even added good extra grease to bearings. Oh well. Also taking a 2 1/2 gal pump sprayer last year everyone was getting hot. Some of it ya just can't out of it

I think you guys may be on to something about mud being hard on wheel bearings Had a hell of a day yesterday. My lady friend we hadn't done anything together in 30years or more. I gave her a whole new experience about getting muddy. This was just the start got up on a big rocks had to get pulled out backwards. 12 hours out many laughs 70 miles and several beers we were beat when got back and cleaned up.

Yep Pud I would say you got it muddy. It may be 30 more years before your lady friend goes for a ride with you again
She was ok with it rich she even got out and went through a big mud hole with a young woman driver Years ago her and her friends used to ride with me in my 70 model Chevy stepside Dang some of the things they got me into.things that you had to go meet and talk to parents.like late hours and beer being involved Pump sprayer was used on a couple machine from Pittsburgh to get some guys back in had to stop more then once and help them along.

That was some mud, Pud! You got that interior good and dirty.
Yep this was the muddiest it ever been. It was hot day and a job to clean up. after I got pulled backwards artic cat or Polaris got hung in the same place I did only they rolled or pushed up the big rock I was on. then some bid holes but made them. We had fun so what the hell I did get a small rock between fan and radiator had to take bolts out of fan to get it out. I'm going to try to get another ride in next month I think she wants to go again. This is the rock

Next rides at Pud's place.
Rich I heard rumor last year they are talking about putting a shower house in but haven't heard anything more I'm going to ask and see if it was just a rumor. They have a camp ground but man you need a place to clean up Some of you guys would have a good time but it's not for the small buggies these places are getting rougher and holes deeper
Looks like lots of fun. Glad you still enjoy the mud, I try to avoid it like the plague. Thats not to say I wont get muddy I just try like heck to stay out until its necessary, then its time to do right.
After I got home from last ride and washed the dust off I found I may have to rebuild my rear differential. The pinion has a lil slack that I don't like. Everythng else seems to be in good shape.
