Picked up a Roketa Gk-06.
Drove it around.
Looked up what power gains would be to mod the 250cc engine.
Then this happened.....

Glad you got her running. I like to say the build doesn't start until the first test ride. Got the scars to prove it.

I do like seeing it move but I have a long way to go.
Lots of chassis welding to do

I should have time next week to finish up the wiring and install the graphics

And also scored a new project. It's a little bigger, bright red, has 200+hp with a V6. Found it in the back lot of a local dealership. Stole it for $200(plus tax title and fees).
They were going to send it to the crusher because their tech couldn't get it to run.

It worries me that a dealership tech couldn't fix one wire😳

Well took the buggy out for a little rough horseplay today
Located a off-road park called bundyhill.com
Took my 4 year old with me to break him in on what the buggy can do also.

Very nice offroad park! Cost was only $20 and it has lots and lots of hills

On to the buggy. I asked it to climb some pretty mean stuff today!!
The buggy asked me back - is that all you got for me?-

It did great, tons of power for this area I just stayed in second gear.
The looks I got were priceless. Hearing rear end rocket motor sounds coming from such a small buggy.

Areas I need to work on going forward

Clutch pedal play
Shifting linkage adjustment
Suspension - very stiff

I would suggest you take some time to shorten and brace, if not all out replace, the roll cage. You've got enough power now that, if you dig in, you can roll it over without much effort...should get a stronger hat.

Glad to hear that you got it going. I agree with Mac you need to upgrade the cage. With power like that it is not if but when and you will be glad you had the protection.

Nice build.

I'm looking into that I have a lead on a local guy/company that does pipe bending. I really wanted to see it do something. It's been under the knife for over a year. Now that I know what it can do it is time to make it safe.

More to come... Like all projects it's never done

Summer has been great
The buggy got to Silver lake sand dunes
The thing is fast however the Yahama (and others) gear set has weak dogs between 2nd and 6th and mine got worse... so no 2nd which kept me from climbing the hills easier.
Winter goals...
Pull engine apart, update things - it does have 19k road miles
Roll cage update
shocks/spring update
looking into a little longer arm front end
