Thanks Guys I have had a lot of fun with my 650 over 10000 miles of fun but where I live now I need something that has more HP, 4 wheel drive & can do all kinds of terrain. Will be moving some of the equipment to the Yamaha & then try & sell her, going to be a sad day when she goes.
Will always be a Buggy News guy & will answer questions if I can about the 650 SS. I have a ton of parts so if you need something PM me I might have it.

Well Steve, looks like the Halloween buggy, congrats. We will need to find a old air field or a dry lake to race on.That gravel road at the VOF is to narrow for both of us going sideways out of the hole.Ghost

The paddle shifter is with the auto-clutch version and the slap shifter is with manual clutch? Or are both shifters mounted?

The paddle shifter is with the auto-clutch, the manual is a 5 speed sequential Exactly the same clutch & trans except a solenoid ran by the ECM does the pedal work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sC7wOkxPoJA

I'm currently running an Orieon Reeper and can't get enough out of it to go fast and handle good enough. So I too am buying a Yamaha yxz1000. They are one nice machine and will really haul a.. the way I would like to run on the ranch and back roads. Closes thing to a rally car and way under $100,000.

OK went to the shop today & check on the new ride, the first pic is where the frame is bent, I was impressed how well built these are & great quality.
The trans is exactly the same as the manual just activated by solenoids, was cool to see it naked.

I have heard the 17 runs the Reclus clutch which is an automatic clutch. Some folks are putting those in the earlier models. I hear that there is also a gear set you can change to give it better low end pulling. For where we ride here in the Midwest where there are more tight trails and hills it is a necessity for that high revving engine.
