Picked up one of these off Ebay this year. I have a couple plastic items that need repairs, namely the left bed side panel on the Prowler and the front fender on the ATV. Figured I'd give this a go and if it works, it will have paid for itself.

Used it tonight on the Prowler's bed side panel and it works great. It melts a staple into the plastic and then you clip off the tabs. I had about a 2" crack that I could get at the back side and I put about 5 staples in there. Heats 'em up real quick and then it just melts right into the plastic. I put some Gorilla glue in the crack as well, mostly so that the crack itself won't really be visible. I got the outside lined up pretty well so I don't think you'll even be able to tell where the crack was. Came with 6 different kinds of staples for inside and outside corners, and of course flat surface repairs.

There are bunch out there, but I went with this one.

There's others that don't have the tool box and as many staples that you can get closer to $100. I went with this one since it most resembled the one sold by Eastwood. It's probably the same thing, just branded differently. Pretty good vid on their site as well.

I forgot to take pics. It seems pretty strong. The staple isn't super thick, it's .8mm, but I put 5 in the repair area and may go back and add some more. I think it would take a pretty hard shot to the same spot to break it again. I'll get some photos of the after.

So here's some after photos.

Hard to see the crack at all. I got pretty lucky that the crack lined back up pretty well. The textured finish probably helps hide it, too.

This shows where the crack was. It had spread apart about 1/4" at the end. Had to use a strap to hold it back tight when I glued it and stapled it.

Here's a couple of the backside. All this gets hidden by another panel. Ended up with 6 total staples in there.

Thanks. I think I got lucky. It should hold, unless it takes another hard hit there. It's towards the tail end of the bed and I'm sure I turned a corner too tight and went hard up on a tree to cause the damage in the first place. The bed on this thing is crazy big.

Very cool, permatex has a really good plastic weld epoxy. I actually used it to repair a gas tank on my lawn mower, and then used it repair a plastic grip on a p95 Ruger. That's a pistol for you none gun guys!
Your crack was barely noticeable in the first after shot good job!
