Thanks for all the help guys. I will do the variator and clutch upgrade and see how this thing performs. If I still need more power, then it will be a head upgrade with a bbk to follow!! And if I decide to race it I will get the CDI and coil upgrades too.

If I go with bigger rear tires, which ones and what size do you guys recommend? Also, what about the sproket gear....suggestions?

I like the Mudlites and Kenda Bear Claws on the back. Won't need a sprocket change if you stick with a 23" tall tire. If you go much taller, then you might need to change gearing.

There is some terrain and hills.....trail riding and maybe racing it if I can find somewhere to race in south-western Ohio.

23`s are fine on the HH, especially with the limited mods you have now. Do Not waste your money on the coil or CDI, they add very little if any gain. There are alot of ppl here who have removed them and gone back stock.

i apologize if you have already posted this but what part of Ohio are you in?
I know of a few riding spots in the northeast and southeast that allow our buggies.
bear creek - N.E.
dover trails - N.E.
powerline - not quite sure, haven't been here
wellsville - Ohio/W.V. area
mines & meadows - PA
rock run - PA
and there are a few around me that aren't "riding parks" per say but everyone rides the property and yes, it's legal....lol

I am close to Cincinnati....I did find one called Haspen Acres in Laurel, Indiana that looks pretty good too.

Snow is good times lol. Dress for it and go tear it up. Winter is for riding. Spring is for drinking with riding thrown in.

I've had it out in the snow a few weeks ago, it was a fun time. I am really stoked that I got my buggy back together....was waiting on parts from buggypartsnw.com Got the Dr. Pulley Variator, Clutch and some sliders and a new spring. I now have that installed and will be taking the buggy off of the trailer and drive it around the neighborhood to make sure it's all together right!!

Not sure if anyone still reads these threads...but...I have added some stuff to my buggy. It has been a love/hate relationship with this HH250SS...when it runs it is awesome, but it usually breaks about every other ride.

I have the bear claw tires. LED light. A new magnet so that my speedo works now (had it to 42.5 mph!). Also added cdi/coil upgrade, runs hotter and better top end. I also just purchased a 32mm pumper carb and a jet kit for it. Also have and air fuel meter for it and will be welding in a bung onto the exhaust.

Does anyone know what the stock A/F ratio is suppose to be?

i'm probably showing my ignorance here but i'm not sure an A/F gauge would be of any use. you have some nice upgrades. just dial it in and go. :D
