I guess depends on which style you get, it's flush with stock cage angle. (DragonFire RacePace YXZ 1000R Flying V Bar)
You need to check you're fire extinguisher mount, on my first outing the permanent pin wasn't it fell out on the trail (I have the same mount as you) You need to weld or some other method to keep it there I just ran a nut & bolt & tack welded the nut.

Thanks JD,i will look at it again.Right now i have small bungee around the pin.I have been on a couple of short rides with no problem,i will check it.I found some shock spring adjustments in the owners manual.I am smaller than whats recommended. My thought is that the free stance should be the shock piston should be in the middle of the shock stroke. What are your thoughts there.Ghost

I don't think it matters unless it's extreme one way or the other. If you take it out & it kicks up when you hit a good woop then probably to much Pre-load & if bottoms out to easy then probably not enough. Adjusting shocks is kind of like tuning a carb.

You guys may be interested in some of these videos, here are some really quick Yama's.

Just got back from Windrock in Tn and didn't see a single YXZ there. I did see a few X3s there. This is a park with mild to very extreme technical trail riding. A lot of the more technical stuff were below 5mph.

Old timers set in again, guess the video would be nice.

Packard Performance's video. You just have to go thru their list, I didn't see the link when I watched it.

Hi Papa, lived in Champ.-Urbanna Ill.for many years I have dirt biked all over that part of country. The problem is Martha, she says she won't go east of the Missisippi,i am still working on her.It says in the owners manual (do not let your friends drive YXZ) for you i would make an exception.Ghost

Hey tell Martha we can keep her on the west side of the Mississippi and still find so good riding, tho she would miss out on some really good riding. I do thank you for the offer of driving that wicked machine but it may be more than this old man can handle.
