Any performance upgrades for a 2009 efi gk32? I've read a header but can't find one for sale, is there anything else I could do to squeeze a little more power out of this thing?

Please excuse me if I'm posting in the wrong place. I'm new here but I just picked up a buggy last week. As far as I can tell it's a gk-25. Got it with the engine locked up. broke it loose and had it running and driving today, but I'm still in need of some help. For one, the cooling fan is gone so it gets hot. I'm wanting to remount the radiator above the engine as talked about previously, but how would I go about wiring the a new fan? What sensor actually commands the fan on. Also, is there a way to rig up a coolant temp gauge? Secondly, the secondary on the carb doesn't open up. It was brought up briefly, but could someone explain a little more how to either repair it, or bypass the vacuum solenoid so it'll work. There's a couple other minor problems but they're not coming to mind at the moment lol

No, you need a header from a Suzuki F8 series engine.

No imported US cars used that little engine. Everything you find here is a G10 or larger.

hi Klintc...

I recommend you go to PAGE ONE of this thread...it has tons of parts links and pics for much of what you ask

alternative-parts-list-for-roketa-800-gk-25-gk-32-joyner-bmi-t31716.html

Carb vacuum secondary delete mod....works good...there's a couple ways to do it...

I ended up replacing my carb....made a custom intake and used a weber side draft.....' the stock carb had issues with revving too high and staying revved up....with no pressure on the gas pedal ....other issues etc as you're now aware

theres another waber carb (downdraft) that will work as well....bolt onto your current intake....if you want to chuck the old unreliable carb

post366812.html?hilit=carberator%20vacuum%20secondary%20DELETE%20mod#p366812

redline weber carb
Weber Carb with chrome air filter http://www.redlineweber.com/carb-kits/auto/suzuki/ $259 online EBAY for the ELECTRIC CHOKE carb and $299 for the MANUAL CHOKE CARB kit
couple guys are running these and they are supposed to bolt right onto the existing intake on the 800cc huahai motors.......snagged from Studio5o post weber-32-36-conversion-on-800cc-turbo-buggy-t31454.html he also has TURBO...check out his threads

RADIATOR from a HONDA works.....you can adapt the hose size several ways....use copper fittings from plumbing items @ home depot...solder them to make the hose fit to your hoses

I bought an IN LINE alum adapter for the water temp sender to go in
see blue thingy in photo

$11 hose off a chevy mini van 1.25 inch ID etc

Tach Oil Water temp etc multi guage

Start by looking at this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_S ... s#F_engine

The Suzuki F8B started out as a carbureted engine and went to throttle body fuel injection later to pass Euro II emissions. The Daewoo S-TEC 0.8 looks like the same engine under their name.

Thanks for the response. I have read through the entire post and theres a lot of great info. Its also nice to see that people are still active on here years later. Just a little update on my buggy. Went by a junk yard and pulled a radiator with cooling fan and hoses off a civic for $60. Removed the old radiator and cut the lower support off to mount the new radiator in the same place. Wired in a relay and used the temp switch on the thermostat housing to control it. Now it no longer gets hot, but my next problem is that after running for half an hour or so it'll cut out and won't move unless I leave it fully choked. Like its running out of fuel in the bowl. It sat for 6 years locked up so I'm questioning weather the fuel pump diaphragm isn't just worn out. Any alternatives for a pump?

Does anyone know why my gk32 efi has a 16 pin OBD2 connector but will not accept an OBD2 scanner?

It uses an older GM/Opel protocol for communication which most readers do not use.

Are there any options to get into the computer? Or do I just need to find someone with an Opel reader ? Thanks for the reply!

Most of guys either live without using the port or replace it with a programmable ECU.

I found an elm327 reader that is supposed to work with Opel and all the other off vehicles that a normal OBD2 won't, it's only 10 bucks so I figure I'll give it a shot before I buy a new ECM, I'll let you know if it works!
