I've had my eye on those CFMoto's too. They look sharp and can't really beat the price either.
Just can't justify it yet. Would need to do a lot more riding. I'm trying to get the wife into riding/driving buggies at the moment. That's one of the reasons I bought a great condition SS, so that she would. She just has to learn how tricky the shifter is on the SS.
If her and my youngest son start to get into trail riding more, I might justify it. Until then, it's back to working on and driving buggies. Though I can't really complain too much because of how much fun buggies are.

Well this old girl is just about to go on the local market. Turned out to be a nice buggy, but if I only ride it once or twice a year, it really isn't worth keeping around.

New rings are pretty much broke in. It pops right off. Getting 210-215 ish compression readings. Changed out the variator for the stocker, and that helped. I think that Dr Pulley variator is made for top speed. It doesn't let the belt ride as low. It'll go on local Craigslist here this week once I get it cleaned up.

If any BN member is interested, send me a PM. It's a nice machine. Once I get the ad ready, I'll list out all the stuff I've done/new/custom, etc.

Well you know the old saying, if you can't beat 'em, join em'.

Really enjoyed working on this one. I think that's what I like the most. Everything is so easy to get at. Projects don't take long, and little improvements seem to go a long way. I don't really take it in the woods where we ride since there's a lot of creek riding, always a log to run over, etc. Those just aren't areas where these things do well. So, it sits mostly, unless I'm tinkering with it. It's come a long way since I bought it a couple years ago. Someone will get a nice buggy.

Dang Ron, you really need to hang on to that thing. I am hoping to get a Back To Our Roots Ride later this year. It will be a Chinese buggy ride only. Because you all know we miss all the break downs on the trail so we will have something to talk about and drink cool daddy pops while watching the mechs at work. And yes I do hope to have one to ride as well. It maybe a lowly 150 but it will qualify.

I understand. If you have something that's just sitting there not being used, it makes you start thinking someone else might have fun with it. Plus when you get to the point where there's not much left to upgrade or fix, you start thinking what's next?
But when we take the buggies out riding, that feeling fades quickly with all the fun we're having.

It's the way I have felt about my street bike. I am averaging less than 2000 miles on it per year and every time I clean it up to sell it and take it for for ride, I change my mind.

I'm trying to pair down my buggies to ones that are "dual sport" and have street plates. Although I take all of them off-road, the two with plates get used twice as much as the one that does not. This weekend my Yellow SV250 is going with us so we can run around to vinyards while we are sampling wine, but my Black SV250 will stay home until we do the Moses Lake trip at the end of the month. Yet on that trip, the Yellow SV250 will again be driven.

That might be a lonely ride! I tried to waive the flag for the buggies at Turkey Bay last year but nobody seemed to be interested. Most people are getting out of them altogether. I like what you're thinking, but I wonder if there's enough hold outs to have a get together like that.

Maybe I will start a new thread and see how much interest we can get.
