Hey guys I need some help. I cannot get any spark from this motor. I am including the wiring diagram here. But essential as I see it, since I am not using a selector switch on the handle bars, or the tether kill switch or even the neutral safety switch as long as I do not ground the black wiring going to the CDI I should get spark but I do not.

Can someone lend a hand and see what I have done wrong. I bought a new CDI for $100 thinking that would solve it but it does not. I can get a coil but I checked it out and it ohms out fine. The only thing left would be the stator or the trigger coil which I believe is all one piece.

I would appreciate any advice...thanks as always.

Bo

Make sure your black wire off the CDI is not grounded somewhere. That looks like the kill wire.

Yup thats the kill as i read it also and i do not have it grounded. I put it on a momentary switch but I have it disconnected from the momentary switch plus from the harness.
