I have a Crossfire 150R that I will be driving on the beach in NC. Looking to change the cam. I'm thinking an A12 would be a good choice. What do you guys think? During my search I have found a Type 1 and Type 2. What is the difference?

Just curious, but why change the cam just to drive on the beach?

Looking to gain low end power and keep some speed without over reving the motor. I haven't had it in the sand yet, but from what I've read here, A12 seems like a good choice?

Thats correct. A12 will be best. Sand is going to rob you of power no matter what.

I like the A12 it seems to do pretty well. I made the mistake and ordered an A11 and found it would not work with a stock head. It would bind the valve springs :(
