Oldman that last statment is in and of its self the American way.I've passed many clients up or they passed me up because they could'nt afford my price. But theres someone right behind me that will fit their budget. They may not be as good as me but then again they could be better. The point is we all have options. Not one of us can tell a business owner in a free market what he can charge or profit, what we can do is take our business else were
I just wait till the Bash.....tear up everything there.....get all my parts and repairs to frame/motor/tires/wheels or anything else that moves.....from Funnyman! and others....I pratically rebuilt clutch and drive system on my 150 from Funnymans part store parked next to my tent. Didn't pay a dime for shipping...and met new friends.
I do have to agree with all the post: - Shipping cost on single small items is too high sometimes - buy several items to justify shipping (I do this alot) - there are other options - it's all quite aggravating!!

I would like to add something on this topic.
It is true that a small one item order is expensive to ship. Case in point.....I sent some clutch springs to Australia through the postal service. The springs themselves were about $10. to send them Priority International would have been about an additional $50-60. I sent them slow boat. 3 months later they show up at the destination.
I have used UPS for 4 years now in shipping. Never have lost a package with them. It used to be that UPS was the most expensive carrier but now that DHL is out of the picture, FEDEX has raised its rates to near what UPS charges.....in some cases more.
EXpectations......we all have them. When a customer orders something they expect it to arrive in a timely manner and intact. We as dealers expect that the customer will pay for the order and for shipping to get it there. It is how the world of commerce works. Take just one thing out of the mix....say slow service for example....and see how the well oiled machine works. It grinds to a halt eventually.
