Hey just wondering if anyone has any info on the Carter customer service drop off issue? Meaning their CS is non existant anymore. There was a forum on the gocartsuperstore site but now it seems that is gone too. Anyone have any insight as to what is up? Can we get OEM Carter stuff for thr GTR's anywhere else?
Thanks

they have cut hours due to the economy like most other business. on fridays half the cs, parts, and warehouse staff is off. I carry alot of oem parts and performance parts alos, like the new malossi variator.

Yes...the contact info(phone, email)have been ineffective for a few months now. It is unfortunate because prior to that their CS was second to none.

I know their online store was down for a while, but it is back up and updated now. Didn't know about contact information. In the recession they may be backing up to just dealing with dealers and having consumers go thru the dealers to cut costs of running 800 numbers and such. A lot of companies do that when the economy goes south. But that's just subjecture.

I left a 3 messages a week for a month straight...along with a daily email. Honestly though, the problem could be fixed and I wouldn't know. I gave up about a month ago. I do see that the gokartscooterstore/forum has been taken down...too many complaints for Carter to read I suppose. I am still a big fan of my machine...looking to get that Malossi, an engagement spring and some sliders and get the wheels spinnin. BigE...you got them on your site right?
I also have no MPH readout on my speedo...(common prob I understand)I am thinking it is the magnetic pickup. Any ideas on just epoxying a magnet (on the axle?)to the pickup? I am not sure where it is located or what to look for. I knew my 150 inside and out-still learnin the 250.
Thanks as always....
and (BigE)a link to the parts on your site(if avail)would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

here is the link http://www.mcdonoughpowersports.com/_co ... ve%20train

the pick up for the speedo hangs from a bracket in the middle of the diff. its suppost to have about 6 thousands air gap. check that first and then check the wires in the connector. I have a speedo if you need one

Thanks BigE...just what the Dr. ordered. I will be saving my pennies(on vacation next week)so I can pick up that drivetrain ASAP! Also, thanks for the speedo info...I will take a look at my pickup and see if those problem areas are effected. If not, I may have to add the speedo to my order. Speedo comes with new pickups?
Thanks
