okay a friend of mine has a 150cc gy6 engine with reverse for $100. i want to put it in my gokart but mygokart has just a regular 7.5hp motor. i can make mounts for it. but is it a good idea to put this motor in?
also let me know what you think of my new project. i am going to make the trailbike into a trike with 24"tires on the back. and with the 7.5hp i take fromn my gokart. with a 30series comet. the bike is a baja warrior big wheel min bike/trailbike

i was thinking i would just make it sort of like a yerfdog 3206 spriderbox. but cut off the back of my rollcage off. and doing just exactly like a yerfdog spiderbox.
then i will make a custom rack. the cool thing is i am going to put rack and pinion on it from a small car i got a front end in my shed. and i am going to make it into a oneseater instead of 2 which it is now. it will be huge

the front end is basicall the size of the ones on yerfdogs. and i am just going to more the steering to the center for a oneseater
Check the weight of the parts you want to put on the front end. I don't know what type of car parts you want to add but I'm guess your about to add close to 100lbs to the front of the buggy. Not a good idea unless you get a bigger engine and consider more fab work.
Can you get the weight of the parts you want to install and post a pic, Also for the rear remember the GY6 mounts from the top. No motormpounts on the bottom. You will also have to rig a mount to adjust the slack on your chain.
