One thing it will do you good to learn real quick around these buggys, if it sounds to good to be true it is. I have never seen this type of CDI for any of our buggies. If your looking for aftermarket parts or OEM, check our trusted dealers list here at BN. You cant go wrong there.

That CDI will not work on your 257cc Yamaha/Linhai engine. I got one from here, it was a 9000rpm unit, other than that you will need to make your own, there is however, a few fully PC programable ones out there you could invest your hard earned dollars into, MSD also offers a single cylinder unit, which I believe has some programing features, like max/min, and degrees settings, I have done a lot of research on this...... final answer is I am not will to dump all my funds for a CDI that may or may not work, and that is just me, I did make onethe curve is a little lacking but it pulls like the devil, I also use an independent coil...... the link. http://www.partsprousa.com/product_info ... d=12810417

I've tested several of the Casoli brand CDIs that are advertised for "up to 250cc" engines, and none of them worked on a GY6, CN250, or CFMoto based buggy. I got nothing at all when trying to start.
These might work on certain ATVs and dirtbikes, but not buggies.
Stick to what has been tried and tested and found to be reliable.
