Hi,

I'm new to this sport and I've been digging and trying to sort out this Calif. CARB thing. Those of you that don't live here may not be concerned with the Red/Green issues we have to go thru here. For those of you that do, I found the web site that has all the ARB "Executive Orders" for all the manufactures. The orders are listed under Red and Green stickers and by manufacture.

Hope this helps for all of you that are buying Karts for the first time lime me.

I'm confused! I found this DMV memo that states : Amphibians, dune buggies, golf carts, and snowmobiles are not part of this program and will always be issued a green OHV sticker. (top of page 3)

Are mini buggies considered "dune buggies"?

They are making everything confusing. I was hearing a lot of the large buggy manufactures in california are only selling rollers for now on because they don't want to have to deal with CARB. The state is issueing fines to companies that don't meet CARB standards. It all depends on what your putting in the cars. They are cracking down on a lot of the Chinese buggies because so many where brought in illegally and never paid for them to be certified by CARB like Joyner did. They are also cracking down on the big V8 cars that are out there without any smog equipment.
