I am currently working on 5 different kart/buggy projects at the moment, 3 of which are your basic, old fashioned yard karts. Does anyone else still play with these, or am I living in the past? They are such a blast... So anyway, I am custom fitting some aftermarket air filters on the yard kart engines. Each one has a 5HP horizontal Briggs and Stratton engine. I don't really know if the new filters will allow more air flow or not (I am installing them becasue of the stock filter's interference with the aftermarket throttle linkage). The stock filters are the approx. 3" x 4" square paper element with the blue rubber foam seal. The new filters are conical shaped paper/mesh similar to a K&N. Should I consider rejetting, and is that even possible on a stock carbureted B&S engine?
