FRS Radios... Family Radio Service.

They are cheap insurance, and a great thing to bring so we can all keep in touch, make calls out to remind people of events about to happen, call for help, whatever!

They are really cheap these days and worth the purchase when you are out in the woods.

We'll set channels when we get the scene and find which channels have the least chatter on them.

Sometime during that week pick a channel and subchannel & post it. We might be able to catch some members gabbing during the drive & meet along the way.

Tough to pick a channel, or series of channels before we get there, as some of them might be pretty busy with local chatter.

Considering the location, all channels will probably be pretty clear, but you never know.

where do I get these radios?

you can get these radios anywhere. Walmart has a pretty good selection of them in their electronics department.
