Jack up the buggy remove the wheel, remove the brake caliper leaving the brake line on be careful not to damage the brake line and do not press the brake pedal while the caliper is off. Pull the cotter pin and remove the axle nut, pull the rotor hub off. On my buggy I had to remove the outside pivot stud on the trailing arm to get enough slack in the axle to remove it from the transmission. At this point give the axle a good jerk and it should slip off if it doesn't you may need to use a pry bar against the case of the transmission to pop the axle off be careful not to damage the transmission case you could slip a small piece of wood in between the pry bar and the transmission. The axle will now slip out of the trailing arm.

It is really quite simple. I was able to swap put the boots on both axles in just a couple of hours. Have a lot of rags around. Your hands are sure to get greasy.
