California DMV will not register any ROKETA products. If it has been registered, you can renew but no new registrations. Great, I am screwed on the 800cc I just bought used from a party that never registered it

You have to have an OHV sticker for California, unless you keep it on your own property, even then, there are some counties(Riverside) that has banned the off road use on private property.

Try several different DMV's in your area. One of them might not beaware of the situation and when goverment employee's don't know they generally make it up as the go along, good luck.

If you have friends or family in another state, register it there under your name at their address. Once it is registered, try to register it in CA after nine months. Tell them you have multiple residences and would like to transfer this vehicle into the state under your primary address.

California can be such a pain in the . How much smog can these little engines put out compared to the millions of cars sitting in traffic every morning and night in Los angeles? And going to the DMV is like standing in front of a firing squad yelling "Just shoot me." This is why I bought a used Joyner that already had a "Green sticker". Good luck with your problem, I feel your pain.

I read that small engines (like lawn mowers) put out as much emissions in one hour as a smogged vehicle in a week. I cannot find the article, but it was reliable source. Once you get into these larger engines, they can burn cleanly if you keep them on the leaner side...
