Hello,
has anyone had any issues with The Bosch monotronic Fuel Injection?
I seem to have a failed map sensor at least I think that is what the issue is. When with the sensor plugged in the engine runs rich I mean like a deisel truck starting off. I unplug the sensor and it clears up but runns erractic.
the sensor is made by Bosch and the part number on the sensor is
0 261 230 011.
Has anyone run into this or better yet where can you get info on the Fuel injection systems on these?

Well I got a new Map Sensor from autozone but that did not work. The guy I bought it from "a Roketa Dealer" is now going to bring me a new ECU. I am about ready is dish the EFI and put a Carb on it.
I the map senosr of course even having the same part number stamped on it was made by a Wells instead of bosch and the connector was a different size. After modifying the connector this made and connecting it up I got the exact same results as with the old map sensor. I am requesting a new wiring harness as well. I guess I will learn alot more about FI than I intended on.

Hello

I don't know what buggy you have but if you go to the Joyner Thunderinc web site and download the user manual for a Joyner 1100 it has about a ten page explanation on how the fuel injetion system works among other things on these buggy's.
It shows how to test components, put ICS in test mode. I know the Joyner also has Bosch sensors. Might not apply directly to your buggy but it is very informative.
