Absolutely shop within your budget, the Joyners like you have read are excellent buggys but exspensive and parts are not cheap. You will get good and bad versions of any buggy. Alot of people dont like Sunl, but the one model I own was the best one they produced. I have had no major problems structural or mechanical and i dont just rub on my buggy, i drive it. Welcome to the buggy family no matter which way you decide to go.

I cannot attest to the ride or up keep on any buggy but the Roketa (Titan Plus). I bought mine new from Awesomebuggy and have not had ANY problems with broken welds or mechanical parts. I love to work on it and have added many performance features including frame modifications. These were all of my own doing and not because of the quality of the machine. There are plenty of parts for the Roketa and the cost is well within the pocket book compared to some of the other machines. The price of the initial Buggy is one of the lowest on the market and with freight free door step delivery you cannot beat It. One of the big selling point for me was the independant rear suspension with twin sprokets. You want In my opinion to stay away from the shaft drive open rear end as you will loose so much traction that you will be sick, unless you want to use it on a dirt track only. All of my riding is extreme and running with ATV's. Granted I cannot go every place that they do but I do enough to keep me happy Oldman......

I have to agree, that is the only thing i wish was different about mine. The open rearend does suffer traction loss but rides so much better than a solid axle. With the right clutch mods and tires, you can over come the majority of this. I did.

The Joyners are not shaft drive, have independent rear suspenision, and both tires get power all the time. Traction is tremendous, but it does push in tight corners. The intial cost of Joyners is higher than most buggies-Guess why? But I have not found parts to be high, and used Joyners can be bought really cheap. I paid $2500 for my 250 with less than 100 miles on it. If anybody is looking, there's a Joyner 650 near me that has been titled street legal for $3000.

Like Roger said....the state of CAlifornia delisted roketa for green stickers. Dunno if roketa ever did anything to change that or not. I would check craigslist and look for a good deal on a Joyner. mnisandrails.net has a good rep with a few people around here, but I've never been in one. Jojano's roketa 800 is one kickass machine, tho.
