I recently bought a Hammerhead twister 150. My kids and I love it! I bought helmets and make sure they wear the harness. My 17 year old son and 14 year old daughter were riding on some local trails when they flipped the buggy my daughter broke her arm and my son has whiplash. I tlaked about safety and the do's and dont's with my kids and they still got hurt. PLEASE everybody wear you helmets and talk to your kids and friends about safety. We will be back on the trails after they recover and I repair a bent roll cage and replace the fenders. Happy riding and please be safe! Chester

I'm glad to hear that they got away with only minor injuries. Imagine if they had been on a quad or something without the safety features of the buggy!
I also praise you for providing them with the safety equipment (helmets, etc) that they had on - many people skip this important part until it's too late.
Here's hoping they recover soon and learn from what happened (how to not make it happen again!)
When I got my buggy I never thought of a helmet.Once I found this sight a see the focus put on helmets through the diffrent riding groups,I've changed my tune.I think more for other peoples kids than me.I think we should all do as you have and set a good example for the kids.I hope they get better soon

Wow, very sorry to hear of the accident. One thing that helps from having a flip over is rear wheel spacers. You will notice fronts are wider than rear. Making the rear the same or more does help with that. And secondly arm restrants. And no doughnuts! Sorry guys.

yes what everybody else has said. also the use of neck supports help alot when involved in a roll over. they can be resticktive but the neck and spine are more important. I sell and wear the neck nuts

Thanks for all the support guys! Any suggestions on how to get the roll cage back in to shape? Also looking for a left rear fender it snapped in half? Since the kids will be recovering I have time to get the buggy back in shape. I am new to the buggy world. I have had many go karts over the years but the buggy's are a lot different. I would like some more torque and a loss of top end is not a big deal, also I have read on here that opening up the filter is a good thing. Any tips of where to get parts and how to make mods would be helpful. Chester (newbie)

I've got a number of informational articles about modding as well as how-to guides for installing them on my site. You can click below in my signature if you want to check them out.
For more low end torque, you should look into getting some 9g sliders and a yellow main clutch spring. You'll probably lose a little top end, but you'll be zipping off at the start and climbing a lot better.
As you mentioned, removing the stock airbox and replacing it with a 1.5" UNI air intake and rejetting to a #125 jet will increase your power overall.
Feel free to contact me or any of the other dealers here if you have any questions.

If you will be riding in alot of sandy soil then you will need all the bottom end power you can get. as Mike said 9 gram sldiers or some 9 gram rollers and a main spring will get you headed in the right direction
