Thanks to all in advance for any help you can give me. Have a 650ss strange idle and poor performance. Have checked roughly everything from, plugs, wires, coil, timing, valves, with little if any help at all to the problem. It fires out the exhaust every now and then at idle, also the rpms will slowly rise and then fall. It really sounds rough kinda sputters. Could the module in the distributor be bad? Please any help would be much appreciated this thing is driving me nuts.

Do a good job cleaning and adjusting the Carb, before you do anything else. It is probably the problem, and cost virtually nothing to fix.

Forgot to mention I had already tried that with no help, i will try again and put compressed air through the jets this time, but would that explain the misfire out the exhaust? Oh yea when I plugged the vacuum hose from the distributor it lessoned the mis. Thanks again for the help

Two minds are stronger than one, thanks alot vanet it is like a completely different buggy, runs good now. The air jet I'm guessin is what you call it, the jet with about 6 holes around the sides was covered in varnish. Thanks again
